Leading Marine Industry Recruitment Specialist Marine Resources held yet another successful Boat Show Party last Friday night and is delighted to announce record funds raised for their chosen charity, the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation.
The team at Marine Resources reinvented their now famous party to give it a new lease of life; changing the venue, the evening and throwing in lots of other exciting changes all of which proved to be a resounding success. The event raised just over £1500 for the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation, a marked increase on last year's party.
This year's party was held on Friday 23rd September at Fantini's in Town Quay. Guest DJ and former Olympic sailor and silver medallist, Mark Covell AKA, DJ Silver Sailor kicked up a storm on the decks, playing some great dance classics and was accompanied by the talented Paul Overton on the saxophone.
Marine Resources would like to thank YachtsandYachting.com and Sail-World for their generous sponsorship for the pizzas at the Party. The first 250 people at the event received free drinks sponsored by the hosts. 2016's Party saw a bumper raffle with some really fantastic prizes available from some top names in the Industry. Marine Resources would also like to thank all the companies who kindly donated to the raffle and to Printing Crazy, Sailboat Deliveries, the Southampton Boat Show and the London Boat Show for their continued support.
James Ward, Managing Director of Marine Resources said "Last year we said the party would be bigger and better the next year; I think we achieved that! We were delighted with the evening and the venue. Mark and Paul played brilliantly together and added a new buzz to the party. I would like to thank everyone who came along and helped raise so much money for such a great cause. We hope you all had fun and will join us again next year."
