The 'Santi' story

To race and succeed in the demanding new Nacra 17 catamaran you need to be young and fit, at least that was the thinking when the new class was launched.

At 54 Argentinian sailor Santiago Lange was the oldest sailor in the 2016 Games although with two previous Bronze medals he was also one of the most experienced. But the removal of part of a lung after a cancer diagnosis one year before the Games looked set to derail his campaign.

In this moving account and with Gold medals around their necks, Santiago Lange and his crew Cecilia Carranza Saroli talk openly about their amazing road to Rio in the Nacra 17 class. A journey that delivered more than just Gold in their dramatic and nail biting final race.

America's Cup – How two teams have achieved the impossible

The penultimate America's Cup World Series in Toulon saw the stakes raised once again as crews battled for bonus points that could offer a significant advantage in the 2017 America's Cup.

But behind the scenes, teams are also working hard to achieve the impossible, the foiling tack, a manoeuvre that many believe will be essential in next year's America's Cup - Two teams have cracked it already.

We report on how and why this is considered to be the Holy Grail of the next America's Cup.

Fast 40+ - The next generation of grand prix racers

In just over a year, fourteen Fast 40s have arrived on the UK racing scene.

The rapid growth of this grand prix fleet shows plenty of serious intent on the part of the owners. The Fast 40s have clearly hit the spot, but how?

We talk to professionals and amateurs alike to find out what lies behind the success of these new grand prix machines and the new racing circuit that has emerged.

Paralympics – How the medals were won in Rio

Three weeks after Rio had taken its Olympic bow, it was time for greatest show on earth to deliver its encore.

As the Olympic Games had proved, the racing in Guanabara Bay was challenging, taxing, perplexing and frequently heart breaking. So, as Rio threw down the gauntlet to the sailors, here's what the event looked like on the water.
