IC-M93D Handheld VHF/DSC to Debut at the Southampton Boat Show 2016

Icom UK will be showcasing its latest range of marine communication products at this year's Southampton Boatshow.

New products include the IC-M93D EURO VHF/DSC buoyant handheld radio, the successor to the popular IC-M91D. Stylish and slim, this new Icom handheld contains an abundance of features including a dedicated built-in DSC receiver (meets ITU-R M.493-13 Class D DSC), internal GPS and active noise cancelling technology.

Icom UK will also be introducing its new 'regatta pack'. A compact/portable support solution, the Icom UK regatta pack is ideal for providing marine communications for RYA and ISAF affiliated clubs and organisations.

Also on show will be Icom's new IC-GM600 VHF and IC-GM800 HF transceivers feature Class A DSC and satisfy Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) requirements for SOLAS regulated commercial vessels engaging in international voyage. Both radios also feature Icom's popular intuitive user interface and a 4.3-inch colour LCD with day and night mode operation.

Other solutions on display include buoyant handheld VHFs, VHF/DSC fixed radios, HF/SSB Marine radios, AIS receivers, marine base stations, Icom's Marine Commander Navigation System and IP Advanced Radio System.

Ian Lockyer, Marketing Manager of Icom UK Ltd said, 'You will also be able to buy Icom products from the many Icom dealers at the show who will be fully stocked with our range of marine radio products and offers.'

The Southampton Boatshow runs from the 16th until 25th September 2016 and attracts hundreds of boats, exhibitors and visitors. Icom UK's trailer (Stand E032) will be in a new position in the North East area of Mayflower Park.
