It is the time of year, when the top talent in 200 and 400 fleets descends on Burghfield Sailing Club for the most prestigious event on the South East Area circuit. Such is the competitive nature it has been dubbed by me, to the protests of HISC sailors, the unofficial world championships.
The day will consist of two windward/leeward races in the morning, followed by a top notch lunch in the club. The afternoon will have another two windward/leeward races closely followed by substantial amounts of cake and a prize giving.
The famous bottle of rum for the winner will no doubt be hotly contested. For a great day of friendly and fast paced racing, please register online for a cheaper entry fee.
Pre-registration is available until midnight Thursday 6th October with pre-registered boats benefiting from a reduced entry fee. Entry fee is £18 if pre-registered, £23 on the day.
