Sprint 15 Nationals at Pwllheli Sailing Club - Day 1

by David Groom on 28 Aug 2016 28-30 August 2016

41 Sprints journeyed to Pwllheli to compete in the National Championship. Two races and a practice race were held in a shifty offshore force four. Various local powerboat owners helped build up the waves by helpfully careering through the fleet.

Gains and losses were to be found in the gusts and the race team did a great job re-laying marks etc. as required.

Unusually neither Paul Grattage or Stuart Snell lead with this honour going to Team McKenna.

Three races tomorrow if the wind play ball.
