The door is still open, just, for anyone wanting to be a part of the record fleet to contest the tenth SeaLink Magnetic Island Race Week which runs from September 1 to 6.

There are already 73 teams heading to the magical location with room for another handful of entries before space in the Magnetic Island Marina is fully allocated.

This year's regatta is open to IRC, Cruising Spinnaker / Performance Handicap, Cruising Non Spinnaker, Multihull Racing and Multihull Cruising entries.

The regatta starts with two days of racing followed by an action-packed Lay Day with the sailors spoilt for choice on what they can do as they celebrate the regatta's tenth anniversary. Then another two days of racing follows before the final, grand prize giving party at Peppers Blue on Blue on Magnetic Island.

Racing will be a combination of around the buoys on Cleveland Bay and passage races in the waters around the stunning Magnetic Island.

To enter, skippers need to email the event organiser, Townsville Yacht Club, at .

All those that enter now will still receive an entry in the draw to win a fabulous prize of six nights' accommodation in a two-bedroom apartment along with breakfast for up to four people at Magnetic Island's magnificent Peppers Blue on Blue resort.
