Miracle Nationals at Plas Heli - Day 5

Tricky conditions, it was raining and the wind was light.

Race 8 was postponed when the wind died and shifted. Then there was a scrum at the committee boat end followed by a painfully slow beat against a light chop. It was Dave and Ross Southwells day with two firsts jumping them into third place with one race to go.

David and Michelle Raines have the same points so all to play for on the last race tomorrow. Hannah and Nick Smith still lead Jon and Philip Aldhous by 8 points despite a 15th place in race 8 (a useful discard!).

Marcel and Giulia lead the Silver Fleet ahead of of David and Zara Turtle, while Ian and Olivia Southwell in their brand new boat lead the Bronze Fleet with some excellent results today.

More wind and exciting sailing promised for tomorrow.
