9-10 July 2016
The weekend of 9th and 10th July sees the last OK Grand Tour event in the UK before the World Championships in France. The event is part of Weymouth Dinghy Regatta and will be based out of Castle Cove SC in Weymouth.
With entries closed there are sixteen confirmed participants converging from many parts of the UK. For many this will be the last chance to fine tune before heading across the channel. With two of the six events having been completed and with no discounts allowed at this stage Richard Burton leads the Gold Fleet from Dave Bourne. Paul Pike heads up the Silver Fleet after showing his commitment by attending both previous events.
26 British OK sailors have shown solidarity to the European cause by entering the aforementioned World championships in Quiberon, in Late July. The event has a first level entry closure of 109 sailors with possibly more to come. This is an excellent show by the Brits and bodes well for our chances of securing the 2020 Worlds for the UK.
