14-18 June 2016
The French - led by the Caledonian Cyril Fortin - confirmed yesterday's good results. They won their first nine matches of the Round Robin. A great performance for the locals who started as outsiders (globally ranked 152nd by World Sailing).
Australians, CYCA members, who finished second in the 1st Round Robin, also enjoyed a very nice day. Mid afternoon, in the second Robin, Harry Price – the Australian skipper- defeated the Caledonian crew.
So, by the end of the day, both crews totalled 11 victories over 12 matches.
Jon Napier, the World Sailing technical delegate welcomed the good weather conditions, the quality of the sailing area, and local and international umpires.
The second Round Robin should be finished tomorrow.
Then we will know which eight will be qualified for the quarter finals.
