XOD Wednesday Series at Royal Lymington Yacht Club - Race 6

With the wind in the North, race officer Alastair Wilson set an excellent course that involved a running start to Yarmouth followed by a beat back towards Lymington followed by another run to Yarmouth and beat back home!
X176 Crumpet helmed by Barry Dunning led at the first mark whilst boats behind struggled to fight the surprisingly strong flood tide to navigate around. There were a few place changes on the beat back to the mainland with X48 XL helmed by Rory Paton moving up into second place.
The order at the front was maintained for the next legs, however, just before the finish Crumpet failed to realise that the course has been automatically shortened by the time limit and XL passed her to take line honours.
