The 29er Class is holding a Newcomers Training weekend at Rutland SC on 2/3 July. The training is open to all class newcomers or those considering joining the class and less experienced 29er sailors. The weekend is heavily subsidised by the class and entry is just £50 per boat - half the normal cost of training. You will need your own boat.
The weekend will be run by the top coaches who regularly work with the class. Pete Perera runs the class open training program, is a former 49er and 29er sailor, a junior world champion and has degree in Sport and Coach Development. Joining Pete will be Niall Myant, former Feva National Class Coach + 49er sailor, and Will Alloway, former 29er National Champion and current 49er sailor.
It is also being run alongside an RYA T1 Squad weekend providing a chance for newcomers learn about the T1 program and meet coaches James Ellis and Stevie Wilson.
Register for the weekend at www.29er.org.uk and look to the left of the screen and select Newcomer Training T1 at Rutland.
