On the 23rd April Bolton Sailing Club will be hosting day one of the Supernova Northern open events with day two taking place at Scammonden reservoir on the following day.
With one of the largest Supernova fleets in the UK we expect a good turnout of club sailors and regular competitors from other clubs out to show the Northerners how to do it!
It's always a competitive event, but it doesn't matter where you come there is a friendly competitiveness. The Supernova fleet is renowned for its friendliness and if you ask, the top helms will go out of their way to provide help and guidance.
One of the attractions of sailing at Belmont is the great micro-climate and altitude which normally guarantees a good breeze. It's also a fallacy that it's always raining and grim up north!
Being a northern event it is anticipated the majority of sailors will stop over and sail at Scammonden on the Sunday ensuring great support for both events.
