A talented young sailor, Elliott Kuzyk, from leading south coast sailing club, Parkstone Yacht Club, has been tipped for National and World Championship success following an impressive 1st place overall win at the first major National Topper event held on 27th/28th February. Elliott Kuzyk, 15, claimed the top spot against 153 other competing boats from across the U.K.
Elliott's sailing prowess has not gone unnoticed and in 2014 he was selected as part of the RYA's Team GBR, having claimed Southern Area Champions titles for the last four consecutive years.
Elliott's now training for the ITCA World Championships in Ireland this July and will go on to the National Championships in August at North Berwick, Scotland - the same venue where older brother, Giles, won his first National Championship.
Commodore of Parkstone Yacht Club, Bryan Drake, commented; "We are very proud to have a young sailor of Elliott's calibre at the club and we very much look forward to seeing his sailing career progress further.
We are fortunate to have excellent facilities and sailing waters here in Poole and the young sailors really benefit from the opportunities open to them within our fantastic youth section."
Parkstone Yacht Club is proud to count three Olympic sailors among its membership as well as many National and International Champions.
