Despite the gales and flooding, you've been out sailing up and down the country through the Winter months! While some events have been cancelled, many have taken place and some great reports have come out from them.

Our December winner is a classic example - the Yorkshire Dales Brass Monkey. The event, on 27th December, was threatened with cancellation of postponement due to the severe flooding across the North of England, but still 90 of the 101 entries signed on, travelling from as far away as Stokes Bay, Plymouth and Oxford.

The sun came out, the wind arrived and a great sail was had by all. Yorkshire Dales SC Commodore Erica Caswell and winning helm Matt Mee both gave speeches as the prize giving thanking the organisers for making the brave decision to run the event and the sailors for battling their way through the floods.

January's winner is a completely different kind of article. Alice Driscoll penned 'A brief history of the Enterprise class' as the Jack Holt design celebrates its 60th anniversary. The opening paragraph ensures you'll read the piece from beginning to end; "It was on January 9th 1956 that two Enterprise dinghies sailed across the Channel between Dover and Calais in the middle of the night. This remarkable achievement rocked the sailing world, brought international recognition to the designer Jack Holt, and was the PR stunt that marked the launch of a boat that is still today one of the world's most popular dinghies."

Both articles features in our most popular articles, were widely shared on social media and gathered some great comments from readers.

As well as our authors winning Dri-Pacs, two lucky proposers have also won themselves Dri-Pacs; congratulations to Andrea Clough and Ian Burnett.

You can nominate any report from the last month to be in with a chance of winning a Henri Lloyd Dri-Pac and also help recognise the great work that our writers do in publicising sailing events up and down the UK and around the world.
