Looking for the adventure of a lifetime?

The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is in London in the search for the next generation of crew to take on the challenge of racing the world's oceans – no experience necessary.

Whilst the current teams, made up of more than 700 internationals from 44 nationalities and all walks of life, compete in the world's longest ocean race – the Clipper Race is now looking for adventurers to compete in the next edition in 2017-18.

The Clipper Race will be at the 2016 Telegraph Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show from Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 February at London's ExCeL Centre. Join us at stand OU1050 and hear from intrepid race crew and special guest speakers to find out first-hand how you can race around the world.

Clipper Race recruitment manager, David Cusworth says: "More than just another sailing event, the Clipper Race is a global adventure challenge of epic proportion.

"Not for the fainthearted, this is an endurance test like no other. Eleven months long, we battle Mother Nature to cross six continents and explore some of the world's most remote waters and far flung destinations. Looking to get away from it all and have a life-changing experience? This could be it!"

Clipper Race speakers:

  • Thursday 11 February, 7-8pm: 2015-16 edition race crew talk about their ultimate endurance challenge so far.

  • Friday 12 February, 11-12pm: Rob Lewis, former Royal Marine and co-founder of our Learning and Development partner Mission Performance, discusses his experiences and why leadership and teamwork is critical in endurance events.

  • Saturday 13 February, 3-4pm: Dan Hardy. Q&A with former UFC athlete Dan as he talks with Clipper Race Crew Recruitment Director David Cusworth about his experience of taking on Mother Nature whilst sailing across the Atlantic Ocean.

  • Sunday 14 February, 2-3pm: Abi Oyepitan. Q&A with former Commonwealth Gold Medallist and Team GB Olympic sprinter Abi talks David Cusworth through her tough transition to endurance sport and her experience of racing around Australia.
