2015 has certainly been a year of change for Pinnell & Bax, so we look forward to 2016 with renewed vigour!

In the past 25 years the P&B business has moved from a Northampton-based sailmaker to a truly global operation, supplying customers and mounting campaigns around the world. Tom Stewart was a large part of that success, so it was with sadness we said goodbye to him in November.

We have always had an excellent team of sailors and skilled craftspeople, these include the P&B founders Alan and Ian (who are still here!) machinists Ellie and Sue, and alongside them Steve Graham and Dave Wade with over 30 years' experience at P&B between them.

We congratulate Steve Graham who is now taking the lead in the P&B sail loft. Steve has added the role of Loft Production Manager to his already vast array of sail-making and designing skills; Laurence Creaser moves to focus on customer service (you can contact them both here - ). Dave Wade moves to look after the role of Commercial Director.

As part of the restructure we felt it was important to increase the sales team. Key to this increase is the return of Charlotte Farmer. With years of experience and a strong depth of sailing knowledge Charlotte has bolstered the sales/customer service team we also welcome a number of newcomers to the P&B team;

Izaac Marsh, a Moth and Laser sailor (despite his lightweight!) joins the Mail Order/Sales department.

Pete 'the genius in the workshop' is now supported by Mike Mansergh, a specialist in the boat repairs and builds and brings with him a certain West Country flair.

However we cannot all be focused on sails and boats so we also welcome Rebecca Bradley, who helps manage the marketing and website.

All this activity doesn't mean we have forgotten our passion for dinghies & keelboats, as always we continue to fit out new boats and have an extensive range for sale that are fitted out to personal specifications and also continue to specialise in refurbish and repair managed, by Ian and Oli (E-mail ) Dave Wade Commercial Director:

"We have spent years designing the best boat fit-outs, the best sails and work with suppliers to get the best sailing products and we are turning the spotlight on ourselves. User experience is key and our website in particular is not matching customer expectations. After talking to Customers we feel we have made huge steps forward recently in improving the site (www.pinbax.com) with improved layout and increased functionality. We are working towards a pleasant, quicker, easier process."

Rachel Hardingham P&B Retail commented, "With the Christmas time approaching we would encourage all customers to look online for those perfect presents. There are a number of special deals available and free postage of all orders over £30. At P&B we send everything First Class so aim for delivery next day. Don't settle for Second Class!"

Any questions or queries regarding the web or sailing hardware our staff, all of whom are active sailors and class specialists are on hand to help.

We look forward to a busy Christmas period and an exciting 2016 and would like to thank all our loyal customers for their support in the last 12 months.
