The 'Rum & Mince Pies', at West Oxfordshire SC on Saturday the 14th November, will be the final event of the Lightning368 Grand Prix Series for 2015.
Robbie Claridge sealed the title at the last event at Broxbourne and, unfortunately, cannot make the final event. So with rumours Paul White and Simon Hopkins will not be there, could we see a late charge from 'the lovely' Penny to take second spot from Paul or will home advantage give Caroline enough to sneak up the leader board?
And don't dismiss the old seadog himself John Claridge who just needs to discard an RAF (sorry John) to be right in the mix.
New for 2015 your outgoing chairman (Simon) suggested to the committee that a Silver Fleet Trophy be awarded for the series in every year. It was unanimously agreed and so this year we will award a Trophy to the first Silver Fleet boat.
Results up to and including Broxbourne shows a two horse race between Bryan and Jason (wondered why he was so quick to agree), though Lee is in with an outside shot at the title.
With a big-wind forecast by the team at Windguru, it could also be a pretty full-on days racing at this pretty club on the outskirts of Oxford.
After racing, a post-event / post-series dinner will be consumed at 'The Windrush' in Witney.
