Eleven home and 5 visiting helms turned up at Bartley SC on the outskirts of Birmingham for the Bartley 2015 Rooster Midland Series Solo Open Meeting to a glorious sunny day but a lack of wind. The start was postponed an hour to allow the wind to fill in & settle.

Three races took place instead of the 4 scheduled in very trying conditions, a superb job was done by Race Officer Simon Hardiman and his crew.

The first race got away and was won by Ian Ingram from Earlswood Lake SC with Chris Martin from Midland SC in second place and Bartley sailor Dave Brand in third place.

Lunch was taken in a hope that the wind would fill in as the forecast but it failed and stayed very light.

The second race got away and was won by Bartley sailor Dave Badger in his brand new Winder boat with another Bartley helm Ian Capener in second place and Ian Ingram Earlswood SC third place to add to his win from race 1.

The third race was started quickly as the wind there was seemed to be getting less and this race was won by Ian Capener in very neat Gosling build wood Solo with another Bartley helm Dave Brand in second place and Nigel Davies from Draycote in third place.
