14 August 2005
There were twelve entries for the day with 5 boats from Cransley. The wind was alternating between a Northerly and North Westerly blowing between Force 1 to 4, gusting heavily at times which made for some very interesting sailing. It was unusual to see boats becalmed and another on the plane 20 metres away.
The 10 entries in the Comet class saw some close racing with John Coppenhall, taking the day with Alan Bennet very closely behind follwed by Paul Hinde.
In the Duo class Cransley and John Linnell had a clear sweep of firsts taking all 3 races from Jane Townsend and Julie Houghton. It would be nice to see some more Duo's next year please. A very pleasant day for all concerned.
