After six months of competition, over 200 entries and the crowning of 12 amazing winners the ilovesailing calendar 2016 was officially unveiled at the Southampton Boat Show and are on sale now.

April winner, Jane Green from Somerset, along with her husband Clive, joined the RYA at the show to help celebrate the launch and collect her prizes. Along with her spot on the 2016 calendar; prizes included tickets to the Southampton Boat Show, a copy of the final printed calendar, a canvas print of her winning entry, a host of RYA goodies and of course the much loved and much coveted ilovesailing rubber duck.

Jane, whose entry takes up the May spot on the calendar entitled 'Racing on the Norfolk Broads' commented: "I was so excited when I found out I had won. This is the first photo competition I've taken part in so I was completely chuffed to have won a spot on the calendar, and so were my family.

"I found out about the competition from an article in All at Sea magazine and that's when I decided to take part. When I took the picture I thought it was a good one and wanted to share it with others, so this was a great way to do just that.

"As we live on our boat, the Jane-G, the calendar will take pride of place for all to see – it may be stuck on May for the whole year!! As for the amazing canvas print we'll have to have a think about where we can hang that!"

Emma Slater, ilovesailing co-ordinator commented: "For the third year running we have been overwhelmed by the number of entries and the calibre of photos we received for the competition. Having to choose just two winners each month proved a very difficult task indeed.

"I think people will agree our final 12 have come together to form yet another stunning calendar that really showcases our wonderful sport."

The final twelve calendar competition winners for 2015/16 are:

  • Oliver Southgate from Tolleshunt D'Arcy, Essex
