P&B RACE TEAM WINNING SAILS!
As the Championship season is currently in full swing it is an obvious to highlight the P&B results both here in the UK and across the ditch for this weeks P&B news.
Merlin Rocket
Day 3 of the Merlin Rocket National Championships at Whitstable Y.C brought bright glorious sunshine and a strong south westerly breeze, the conditions looked glamorous but the building breeze gave the fleet a hairy reach out to the starting area and many of the fleet took a refreshing dunk before the race had even begun! Our P&B Musto Race Team members in “Fancy Liquor” helmed by Tim Fells & crewed by Oli Wells navigated their way through the carnage to finish 5th giving them the overall lead in what looks like a high scoring series. Simon Potts and Luke Shaw are in 4
th, both teams are using the latest P&B radial cut mains, standard Jibs and spinnakers. Good luck for the rest of the week.
Flying Fifteen
News from across the ditch from the Flying Fifteen World Championship's. They are all having a wonderful time over in sunny France with Graham Vials and Chris Turner following on from their pre-worlds success starting the Worlds with two 1sts and a 2nd. Our own Alan Bax and crew Mark Darling have risen to the challenge and are looking strong in 3rd place. Graham and Chris have benefited from Alan's sail development programme ensuring that P&B sails are once again ahead of the game.
National 12 championships
At the National 12 championships at Herne Bay Sailing Club a big well done is in order for our P&B Musto Race Team with a 1
st from our very own Tom Stewart & crew Andrea Downham. The British weather throwing them mixed conditions though out the event testing everyone’s abilities! Yet the P&B sails have done amazing well over all with a 2
nd from Graham Camm 3
rd from Jon Ibbotson and a 4
th from Steve Sallis. All these teams were sailing P&B Dead Cat Bounce 12s with P&B sails.
Fireball World Championships
At the Gul Fireball World Championships at Plas Heli the P&B sails are doing well with DJ Edwards & Vyv Townend in 2nd and pushing hard.
