With 3 weeks to go to the ACO 6th World Championship we are at a record level of entries to a worlds held outside of the UK with 97 boats; we hope to see the fleet grow to be over 100 and perhaps even top the 2012 Weymouth entry of 105 boats.
Fraglia vela Riva and the Musto Skiff Class can certainly pull a crowd...
What is your sailing bucket list? Surely, one must be to compete on Lake Garda in an World Championship?
Currently for 97 Musto Skiff sailors that tick will come when the 2015 ACO sponsored World Championships kicks off at Riva del Garda on the 11th September.
Having held a very successful World Championship in Perth, Western Australia, the fleet returns to Garda this September for their Northern Hemisphere 2015 World Championship, before heading to Carnac in 2016 and Palma in 2017, a major aim of the class being to race in some of the most desirable venues on offer.
The record start for Lake Garda was in 2007 with 86 and we are pleased that target has been passed but can we beat the 105 from Weymouth?
As well as the overall championships, the fleet will also race for Youth, Master and Grand Master prizes as well as silver and bronze divisions all within one fleet start.
Follow the racing with live Twitter reporting (@mustoskiff) and daily reports on the class website, including coverage throughout by drone aerial filming.
The class are very grateful for the World Championship sponsorship from ACO, Musto, Ovington Boats, Hyde Sails and Harken.
