Volvo Youth National Championships in Canada - Day 3

Day 3 started off with more light wind from the northwest, building slightly as the day continued. Racing was done in 6 - 10 knots, with shifty winds and changing conditions.

There was no change to Laser fleet leaderboard today with Forrest Waccholz (ON) in 1st, followed closely by teammate Braden Garvey (ON) and Conrad Vandlik (USA) in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. In the 4.7 fleet Henryk Luczynski (ON) leads, followed by Benjamin Derbyshire (BAH) in 2nd and Johnny Walton (USA) in 3rd.

In the 420s, Arie Moffat & Pat Wilson (ON) continue to lead going into the last day of the championship series, followed by Terra Lanteigne & Georgia Lewin-LaFrance (NS) in 2nd and Gray Snyder & Jack Porter (ON) in 3rd.

Eric Lyall & Andrew Moreno (BC) continue to sit in 1st for the 29er fleet, while teammates Freja & Astrid Frykman (BC) are 2nd, and Cameron Shaw & Henry Lockyer (NS/ON) are 3rd.

RS:X sailor Ignacio Berenguer (MEX) moves into 1st in the North American Championship, followed by Gabriel Verrier Paquette(CAN) in 2nd and Raul Lopez (USA) in 3rd. Cristina Oritz Vivas (MEX) leads the female RS:X fleet, with Laurence Bonneau-Charland (CAN) in 2nd and Nicole Level (MEX) in 3rd. The Youth leader in the RS:X is Juan Varela (MEX) in 1st, Mack Van den Eerenbeemt in 2nd and Zane Feder (CAN(ON)) in 3rd. In the 293 fleet Geronimo Nores (USA) sits in 1st, followed by Mariana Aguilar (MEX) in 2nd and Anthony Swaelens (CAN(QC)) in 3rd.

Tomorrow is the last day racing with 3 races scheduled for all fleets, except for the 29ers with 4 races.

Prize-giving and closing ceremonies will be tomorrow after racing at Portsmouth Olympic Harbor.
