The Selden dominance of the International 14 class continues. Glen Truswell and Sam Pascoe have secured there second PoW win in two years along with the Europeans and the worlds held in Australia earlier this year. This latest victory is in Glens latest boat that only hit the water days earlier.
"Scrumpet" features a High Modulus Carbon Series 3 mast, BC086 boom and custom International 14 bowsprit. The latest spar is a development of winning International 14 spars from the last few years. Our unique production method gives a unique look, we call it Mandrel Filament Moulding (MFM). The process is fully automated and computer controlled for ultimate accuracy, repeatability, efficiency and that stunning 'Viper' pattern.
The class have some amazing events in the next two years, worlds in Carnac, France 2016 and San Francisco, USA 2018. If you are considering joining the 14 class or considering a rig upgrade please contact us, we are ready to talk through your requirements.
Continuing on with a Carbon spar theme, the Merlin Rockets have just returned from there iconic week in Salcombe, 120 boats, an estuary where the wind swings sounds like carnage to me, but the class returns year after and the event is always oversubscribed! Our Series 1 High Modulus mast had plenty of placings in the top 20 of the results. The next big meeting of the Merlin class will be at the Selden Merlin Nationals in August, where the who's, who of UK dinghy sailing seem to have entered, looks like it will be a fantastic event.
On the Clyde, the Flying 15 class have just finished there UK nationals. Selden spars dominated the top 10 of the results, Richard Lovering & Matt Alvarado using a Alto. The Alto charge continues with nearly a complete switch from Epsilon to Alto. The next big event for the 15s is there worlds in Brittany, France in August.
Luke Patience and Elliot Willis continue their lead up to the 2016 Olympics in Rio. Off the back of their win at the Miami ISAF world cup Luke and Elliot have continued with plenty of top 10 results, the boys now head off to Rio 2016 test event is August with their ultra-reliable Cumulus mast.
