The pinnacle event of the International RS Feva circuit is just around the corner. In just under a week's time, 160 boats from around 20 countries all round the world will gather in Travemunde, Germany to compete for the prestigious title of RS Feva World Champion.

Taking place from 18th – 24th July to coincide with Travemunde Woche, the PA Consulting Allen RS Feva World Championship promises a vibrant festival atmosphere on the shore to complement the notoriously close fought competition on the water. Some will be there simply to experience the unique vibe and the buzz that comes with competing against so many others from around the world on one stretch of water. Others, however will arrive following a year of hard training, fixated on the World title and determined to show the world what they can do!

The 2014 world title was clinched by a British team while a Czech boat put up a strong fight to take bronze, however with the top few boats no longer in the class, the podium has been thrown wide open for this year's championships.

It's set to be an exciting event and the trophy is anyone's for the winning. Held on unfamiliar waters for many, will German teams use local knowledge to their advantage to get the better of the competition? Jack Lewis and Lucas Marshall (GBR) made their mark by narrowly taking the title of European Champions earlier this year. They then went on to be beaten by team mates, Fin and Dan Armstrong and miss out on the podium at the UK National Championships held soon after. Meanwhile, the Czechs have seen a similar story unfold, after Jaroslav Cermak and Petr Kostal took the 'first family' prize at the European Championships, also finishing top Czech boat overall. More recently, teammates Jakub Dobry and Tereza Dobra came out on top at the RS Feva Crown Cup and Czech Nationals, taking the title of Czech National Champion ahead of their comrades. Similarly in Holland and Italy, different teams have taken it in turns to lead the National circuit events.

The RS Feva PA Consulting Allen World Championship will be a gripping story to watch unfold. Which nation will lay claim to the trophy this year? Who will be the new faces turning heads, and what conditions will the Baltic throw at our teams? All will be revealed and we shall be keeping you up to date at www.rsfeva.org.
