Optimist and Topper Midland Area Championships at Hollowell - Preview

The Optimist and Topper Midland Area Championships takes place this weekend at Hollowell Sailing Club in Northamptonshire.

There will be regatta (Optimist) and main fleet prizes and an entry fee of just £15 for the two-day event, representing great value for money!

Sailors of all abilities are welcome and those signed up so far range from youngsters new to racing to top level squad sailors.

Registration is on Saturday 4th July from 8am-9.30am and would-be participants are invited to check out the entry form and NOR online at www.hollowellsc.org.uk

The schedule is for six races in total, with the first warning signal at 10.30am for four races on the Saturday, followed by a 10.15am start on the Sunday for two more, with one discard.

There will be fun and games and a BBQ on Saturday evening (you can camp but please let the club know in advance) and the sun is due to shine so it should be a great weekend!

Ben Paling's two second places proved decisive to an overall win The Topper fleet were welcomed to Hollowell on Saturday 13th July for the final round of the 2018/2019 Topper Traveller Series.
