Volvo Noble Marine RS200 Nationals Social Programme Revealed

The RS200 Class Association Social Committee have revealed the awesome Social Programme for the Volvo Noble Marine National Championship.

"As well as the most popular items from previous National Championships, we've added a Friends and Families Lunch for the first time this year", said Sally Campbell, RS Class Association Secretary, "we know that many sailors come to the Nationals with their partners, children and sometimes parents and we wanted to provide an opportunity for them to get to know one another and share ideas about the week ahead. Abersoch is a superb holiday destination, so we expect even more families this year."

Another get-to-know-you social is the 'speed dating' after the Commodore's welcome, a chance for all sailors to meet and chat to people they may not have spoken to before, whether they are new in the fleet or not.

Also featuring will be the ever-popular fancy dress night, this year with a Noah's Ark theme, Beach Games and BBQ, Curry Night, Buddy Quiz where scores count towards the overall buddy prizes and of course the Championship Dinner.

The championship programme is 2 races a day from Sunday 2nd to Thursday 6th August, with first start at 13.00 each day to suit the tides and allow for leisurely mornings, enabling sailors to make the most of the social programme and fully enjoy the final night dinner rather than having to rush off after the last day's racing.
