11 boats lined up for a grey and overcast start for the first race with 10 home boats taking part and only one traveller Lawrence Creaser and Kev Hall making the journey from Northampton SC sporting a brand new Winder GP14174 which looked very smart.

The first race saw the visitors set the pace but were soon caught by resident Stalwart Simon Fletcher and Steve Parsons with the remaining fleet tightly bunched and finding it difficult to get clear air. After some jockeying for position it was Ralph Webb and Crew Mik Neville that took the Bullet followed by Steve Parsons, Simon Fletcher, Lawrence Creaser, the visitor being somewhat frustrated by the challenging multi directional wind shifts!

The second race It was Fletcher and Webb who took the early lead but they were soon caught and taken by Creaser who then built an impressive lead and were clean away once again the main fleet were tightly packed showing the high standard of club racing enjoyed by all.

The Third race was re-started following a 180 degree wind shift and Veteran OOD Dave Jeff's restarted the fleet soon after, The fleet took off up the lake leaving Webb stranded at the back.

Tacking off away from the fleet Webb, in boat number 1274 (Built in 1955) 'The General Lee', came up to the windward mark 2nd behind Fletcher. However the two leaders were once again overtaken by the visitors who now were getting the hang of the conditions.

Bright sunshine blessed the last race with the visitors being overhauled towards the end by Webb and crew Neville who took the flag for the win.

A splendid day was had by all with an excellent luncheon provided by the club.
