RS Feva Crown Cup - Preview

by Frances Peters 17 Jun 2015 10:36 BST 19-21 June 2015

This weekend will see the second instalment of the RS Feva Eurocup series 2015. Sailors will descend on the beautiful waters of Lake Lipno in the Czech Republic to take part in the Czech RS Feva National Championships and the aptly named Crown Cup.

The hive of activity will kick off on Friday 19th June with an organised coached day lead by Czech National coaches alongside RS Sailing's Frances Peters. Over 40 boats from around 7 nations will then compete in what is sure to be an action packed weekend, run by one of the most highly renowned sailing clubs in the Czech Republic, Èerná v Pošumaví.

Following the RS Feva European Championships just weeks ago, teams were given a taste of things to come, and one thing was clear – the race was never over until the gun went! Will local knowledge see the Czech sailors top the podium or will the newly crowned European Champions, Jack Lewis and Lucas Marshall from GBR manage to follow their success of the European Championships?

Racing will be followed by plenty of activity on the shore including a film night, a disco and an opportunity for some monkey business in the nearby rope park. The sailing centre boasts all of the facilities needed for the event, including an extensive evening buffet of Czech specialities. Situated alongside a stunning National park, the event will see children and parents alike soaking up the surroundings.

Be sure to keep up to date with the action as it happens on the RS Feva International Facebook Page and online at www.rsfeva.org.
