At 10am on Friday the cats left the beach fort he final day of racing at the Texel Dutch Open 2015. Conditions were similair to Thursday: shifty and unpredictable. Simon Northrop and Sam Barker did everything to defend their 1st position in the overall standings and the Formula 18 class. With success!

Northrop: "In the first race we were mainly racing against Gunnar Larsen on the N17. Our start was a little bit better and in the end we were the first Formula 18 that finished. For the last race we decided to defend our position in the Formula 18 class and not to focus to be first finisher that race. Gunnar had a great start and was gone. Meanwhile we had some nice battles with Zeekant/Begemann and Veenman/De Waard. Now back on the beach we are very happy with both results and looking forward to the Round Texel race tomorrow."

It's not the first time Northrop has raced at Texel, but the first time he's been on the highest step of the podium. Last year Northrop ended up 5th and in 2005 he was 3rd (on a Tornado) in the Round Texel Race. This year it's his 10th edition of the Texel race. "We are fully prepared for tomorrow. The weather conditions are looking good so it can be a quick round this year."
