BACK TO SAILING!
P&B are always looking to work with talented junior sailors and this year P&B's Tom Stewart and Dave Wade have joined the coaching staff of the Northampton Racing J's. With the growing number of junior sailors looking to learn the basics of sailing, enhance their sailing skills or gain a greater understanding of competitive racing P&B provide all the junior kit they could need whatever the level they sail at.
Whether they are just at the beginning of their sailing journey or they are already racing regularly P&B have some great value junior kit including:
P&B have a long history and tradition of supporting junior sailors and developing a hugely successful P&B Race Team that benefits both P&B and sailors alike. The likes of Dylan Fletcher (Olympic Squad) and Graham Vials (Flying 15 World Champion) are just a couple of names who we have dealt with throughout their sailing lives. Today we still have a keen eye for talent and we have high hopes for some of our junior race team members including: Vita Heathcote, Mani Heathcote, Julia Mellors and Sophie Otter!
KIT of the WEEK!
Each week one of the P&B team will be looking into their kit bag and giving us an item that they simply wouldn't sail without!
P&B sails were at it again this weekend with a P&B 1,2,3 for our Flying 15's at Grafham SC. Sharing the venue with the Fireball fleet for their Inland Championships meant that P&B's Dave Wade and Alan Bax put their heads together for their choice of 'Kit of the Week'. One block that came to mind was the Harken Switchable Cheek 40mm Carbo Ratchet. Designed so sailors can hand-hold loaded lines whilst allowing controlled easing, this block makes trimming the jib really easy. In the windy conditions this will give greater control of the jib sheets and we think this block will be seen more and more in the Fireball and Flying 15 fleets.
