Laser Open at Bowmoor Sailing Club

by Mike Dyer 30 Mar 2015 08:19 BST 28 March 2015

It's quickly becoming a habit. For the second year running, Ed Higson took 3 bullets in this event. A blustery day greeted those turning out for the first event of the season, but this didn't hold the leading group back.

Right from the start the full rigs of Ed, John Ling and Peter Keighley broke away, and went on to take the leading places in all 3 races. The wind building throughout the day, matched by the number of swimmers, by the 3rd race many were glad they had chosen to sail with Radial sails.

A close tussle in the Radial Fleet between home sailors Rick Plummer and Neil Crosby was resolved in the final race, with Rick winning by one point.
