92 races were completed on the first day of the RYA/UKTRA (UK Team Racing Association) National Championship being hosted by Rutland SC. The conditions were fairly breezy, resulting in cut down mainsails being used for the first part of the day. It is planned to run another 52 races tomorrow, before the start of the semi finals.

The Royal Forth Hoosiers (the current Wilson Champions) are currently lying at the top of the leader board, having won all their races. The forecast is looking considerably lighter for Sunday, which will please a number of crews.
