Former P&B employee Steve Nicholson tragically passed away after suffering a fatal asthma attack in 2000. Since then P&B have helped organise and sponsor the annual Steve Nicholson Trophy and over the years have watched the number of participants grow and grow. With the aid of some of the leading sailing manufacturers and alongside the generosity of Northampton Sailing Club, the Steve Nicholson Trophy is able to donate the proceeds to Asthma UK - a charity which is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the 5.4 million people in the UK whose lives are affected by asthma.
KIT of the WEEK!
Each week one of the P&B team will be looking into their kit bag and giving us an item that they simply wouldn't sail without!
As some of the P&B team head to the Bloody Mary (Queen Mary SC) this weekend and with a prediction of strong winds this weeks 'Kit of the Week' is the Silva ADC Wind Gauge and Weather Station, an excellent bit of kit to help you stay on your toes in the most challenging winter conditions. With features such as temperature display, wind speed display, wind chill alarm and race timer (to name a few) the Silva ADC Wind Gauge and Weather Station is a great on hand tool both on and off the water.

The Sail-loft at P&B has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our Northampton based Sail-Loft team.
As a Sail Maker, you will be making Championship winning sails, covers and accessories for World Champions. With training provided on the job, no previous experience is necessary.
As a member of our P&B work force you will have the opportunity to represent the company at shows such as the RYA Dinghy Show, have first hand contact with our existing and potential customer base. As a P&B employee you will also have the opportunity to join the P&B Race Team, competing in events across the country alongside some of the nations most talented sailors.
