There's no one quite as passionate for sailing as a Fernhurst Books' author.
Ian Walker (High Performance Racing) currently leads the standings on the Volvo Ocean Racing, under the watchful eye of Jury member Chris Atkins (Team Racing Companion). Navigational analysis is being provided by Mark Chisnell (Sail Smart).
Sir Robin Knox Johnston (Knox Johnston on Sailing) is currently fighting for a podium place in the Open 60 class in the Route de Rhum (at the tender age of 75!).
Meanwhile, the creator of the Sail Juice Winter Series, Andy Rice (Asymmetric Sailing), has been announcing the runners and riders for the Fernhurst Books' Draycote Dash this weekend. Among those mentioned was our newest author, Nick Craig.
The iconic Sail to Win series is being re-launched in March next year with the publication of two exciting new titles: Helming to Win by Nick Craig which will take you from club racer to championship contender, and Coach Yourself to Win by gold medal winning coach Jon Emmett (Be Your Own Tactics Coach) who last weekend won the Laser Radial Master Inlands to add to his many other wins this year.
Sir Ben Ainslie (Laser Campaign Manual) has had a sneak preview of Helming to Win and said, "Anyone reading this book will greatly accelerate their learning curve".
If cruising is your bag, Tom Cunliffe (Celestial Navigation, 200 Skippers Tips, Expert Sailing Skills, and many others) and Pat Manley (Simple Boat Maintenance, Essential Boat Electrics, Diesels Afloat, Practical Navigation for the Modern Boat Owner) are just as passionate.
All these books (except the yet-to-be-published Sail to Win series) will be on sale at the Fernhurst Books' Draycote Dash (22nd & 23rd November) The lucky winner will receive a copy of Bob Fisher's ultimate Tome on the America's Cup – the magnificent An Absorbing Interest (which retails at £250).
If you can't make it to the Midlands this weekend, our website (www.fernhurstbooks.com) lists all the books and eBooks available. On the site you can also find videos from our passionate authors and can register to receive details of new titles and exclusive special offers throughout the year. Alternatively browse for them in good bookshops, book websites and chandleries.
If you have a passion for sailing, then we have a book for you!
