Congratulations to our team of Will McGrath and Sam Woolner on winning the Hornet European Championships this summer using our latest design Laminate Mainsail, the first time a laminate main has won the nationals.
Having invested so much time in the development, we have been thrilled with the Hornet sails. The mainsail is very easy to control, providing the power to keep you going through the light stuff whilst depowering easily in the gusts.
All our dinghy sails are either cut by hand in our loft or computer cut and are manufactured by our experienced Sailmaking Team. Our Chief Dinghy Sailmaker Pete Handscomb has been making Championship winning dinghy sails for over 35 years and has made sails for a wide range of classes from Optimists to International 14s.
As well as our dinghy sails and covers, we manufacture sails for all types of boat from cruisers to racers and dinghies to yachts. Along with new sails, we offer a full repair, valeting and laundry service from our loft in Topsham, Devon.
With over 85 years' experience making and repairing sails, there's not a lot our team haven't seen. Our Chief Cruiser Sailmaker Chris Scanes has been serving the local and national cruising community for over 40 years and is also one of the leading experts in Chinese Junk Rig Sails.
We have a dedicated Canvas Department manufacturing everything from Cockpit Enclosures to Stack Pack Sail Covers, Yacht Winter Covers and Powerboat & Rib Covers. We have standard patterns in stock for a variety of boats as well as carrying out most work to bespoke designs.
