Flying Fifteen Winter Series at Parkstone Yacht Club - Day 6

A lighter day than we have been used to but 21 boats lined up for the start of race 1. The wind was light but steady and the fleet got away first time. The competition was very tough and positions chopped and changed throughout the race.

Results: 1st Pete and Jo Allum, 2nd Crispin Read Wilson and Steve Brown, 3rd Chris Gorringe and Nadia Hosie.

Race 2 - for the second mini series - looked like being very similar to the first race until just before the start when the wind veered and increased meaning the course became very one sided and reduced the opportunity for passing.

A good win was recorded by Adrian Tattersall and Andrew Murphy with Steve Randle and Lisa Randle in an excellent second, 3rd was Martin Lewis and Mike Riley.

The level of racing in this winter series has been excellent with 25 boats entered and numerous different teams featuring in the points. No mean feat when the class enjoys an Olympic medalist, World Champion and quite a few national champions as well.
