The Ovington Inland Championships are once again returning to Grafham Water SC. Ovington classes invited this year are the 29er, 49er FX, 49er, Musto Skiff, Flying Fifteen, Solution and for the first time the Phantom.
The 29er class are anticipating large numbers with the World Championship next year in the UK the class is really buzzing. We will be running demo 29er sails over the weekend – so if you're thinking of joining in the fun, get in touch and come along for a try...
The VX One will be on display and afloat, and after a fantastic National Championship is seeing continued UK growth. There were 5 boats at Ullswater YC last weekend for the start of the UYC Winter Series including 49er sailor (and Lord Birkett Trophy legend) Lester Noble.
Ovington have been directly supplying the Phantom for the last 18 months and it's great to have them along to this event for the first time. We've been building the Phantom since 2007 and can now really support the class – we hold boats in stock as well as the increasingly popular CST carbon rigs.
Generous prizes have been provided for the event by Harken, Orange Mountain Bikes, Zhik and Ovington Boats.
Saturday night entertainment will once again centre on a firework display, courteous of Ovington Boats, and an inter-class quiz!
