by Paul Heath 16 Oct 2014 15:22 BST 2 November 2014 - 15 March 2015

The Leigh & Lowton Sailing Club Winter programme starts with the Guy Fawkes Pursuit on Sunday 2nd November. This event is open to all monohulls from an Optimist to a Flying Fifteen (or any other of the larger dinghies as long as it's less than 21¡ä overall hull length) The race starts at 12.40pm with the Optimists first away and the finish gun will go at 3.30pm. A full galley service will be open throughout the day from approx. 11am onwards and the bar will be open after the race for the winners to celebrate.

Visitors who enter the pursuit race are welcome to leave their boats at the club and join us the following Sunday for the start of the 6 weekend long Revett series. After a short break for Christmas we resume sailing with the New Years day pursuit race and then the following Sunday sees the start of the largest inshore dinghy racing series in the country, the Crewsaver Tipsy Icicle which, over three weekends, incorporates the North Optimist Winter Championships.
