2014 Musto Skiff EuroCup - Overall

The EuroCup series has broken all records this year with 125 entries from all across Europe meeting old friends and making new from Norway to Spain.

Another record this year is that for the first time ever a UK sailor has won! Ben Schooling from Datchet Water competed at Lake du Der in France, Kieler Woche in Germany as well as the UK National Championships at Stokes Bay in the south of England and a great season ending regatta at Derwent in the north of England.

Ben's overall win was not a certainty as class international vice chairman Nicolas Duchoud from Switzerland led for most of the year and only lost out by one point!

Nicolas' compatriot, Roger Oswald, came in a very credible 3rd, closely followed by Paul Dijkstra from Holland and Alex Greil from Switzerland rounding out the top 5.

The addition of a second UK EuroCup regatta ensured a good number of UK boats crossed the channel to compete in Lac du Der and Kiel but also very welcome teams from Switzerland and Germany competing at the UK Nationals.
