IRC Solent Region Championship 2014 - Day 5 Preview

The IRC Solent Region Championship comprises seven days of racing throughout the summer, each organised by a different Solent club.

Day five of the championship is the Saturday of the Royal Air Force Yacht Club's Battle of Britain Regatta, comprising 3 races in the central Solent starting in the vicinity of Hill Head.

The first warning signal will be at 10:30 BST.

Entries are welcome from boats with an IRC rating of between 0.82 and 1.360. Limited Validity TCCs are accepted and are can be obtained from www.rorcrating.com/lv-tcc/45-limited-validity-tcc/lv-owners/293-lv-tcc-forms.

Entry fees via SIRCOA are as follows:

  • TCF 1.000 or above - £40 per day or £240 for the whole series
  • TCF.0999 or lower - £35 per day or £210 for the whole series

Boats are also welcome to enter for Sunday's racing for the modest fee of £10, book directly with the club.

All competitors are welcome back to the Yacht Club where the bar will be open and for the prize giving at 17.30. There will be a Buffet supper and live music (£14.95 in advance £16.45 on the night). The club are also hosting a Beer Festival from Friday to Sunday as well as other entertainment, more information on the Club website.
