House "Burghfield/Martin" – Hear me roar!
House Burghfield, House Martin, potato, potaahhto. Sure you haven't heard of them...
The current King and Queen themselves Matty Mee and Emma Norris are back to maintain their rightful seat on the throne. The combining forces of the mystical dreamland of Red Wharf Bay with the labyrinth of Burghfield gives this House a unique stronghold.
Ian and Chloe Martin portray qualities that others could only dream of... The wisdom gained by many a battle scar alongside the power and performance of our world leading lever. Although this pairing are yet to show their hand this year, their sniff of the throne last year will have made them hungrier than ever for victory in this battle.
The two pronged attack from this mighty fortress also provides an intense internal rivalry. Who will remain on top?
House "Hayling" – Fire and Blood
House Hayling have put in a sparse but heroic performance this season, with some mighty conquests (when they chose to engage).
Tom Morris-Porteous and Emma Porteous-Morris showed serious fire power at the Hayling Open this year, demonstrating enviable technique in the Bay. Will this be the year they say 'I do'... to the throne? (They're getting married this year... that's not just a horribly tenuous link, I promise)
Although there's a lot of blonde in Dicken Maclean's and Hannah Young's boat, don't let that fool you. Dicken may perch on the side so not to disrupt his dashing good looks, but Hannah hikes like a demon or maybe a dragon... and they can pull off some impressive bullets.
Ben Palmer and Lucy Preston are always first on the battle field, but can they be the last team standing? Will the masters of sniggling out whit the other contenders?
House "Itchenor" – Family, Duty, Honour
House Itchenor are rarely seen outside of their realm, but can they claim glory in their neighbouring kingdom?
George Yeoman and Sophie Ormsby showed that they are a force to be reckoned with in their own territory, but when fighting on the neighbouring patch, do they have what it takes? Commander Yeoman insists on perfection and thankfully Sophie provides that in every way, especially her hiking!
Andy Shaw and Pippa Horne have excellent dueling skills and usually emerge unscathed. This coupled with the speed of a hundred horses... we advise avoiding combat in close quarters.
Tim Saxton and Holly Scott have been off conquering far and wide, can they bring their winning streak back to their local battlefield?
Representing the smaller houses....
House Power Couple vs House Almost Grown Ups – Growing Strong
Although this line is soon to become extinct (at least in the immediate future of RS200 racing) they have the ability to challenge for at least a battle, if not the war.
Nick and Jules Charles have been stalwarts of consistency. Playing it fast and focused, they have their eyes on the throne.
Edd Whitehead and Alice "King of the North" Kingsnorth find themselves strong on rough seas.
Nick and Jules have been stalwarts of consistency and Edd and Alice will suit a stormy battlefield. Who will emerge victorious from this skirmish?
House "Hike Off" - Feel the burn
With exceptional speed on the first charge, this house have the blood line of champions. Can they replicate previous victories?
Hamish Walker and Emma Hivey have been away fighting other (possibly more important real) battles but have returned in the attempt to seal the final victory.
James and Will Rusden are well drilled force with the aggression of the mightiest warriors. This might get them into certain altercations but they have been recently known to atone for their misdemeanors. Will this new morality allow them to creep up the board?
Alan Roberts has changed codes this year and after chasing the battle across the ocean, has now formed an allegiance with the super squire, Tom Pygall. Together they will be keen to show their finesse on this restricted battle field.
