22 July 2014
Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eaves run;
"To Autumn"
John Keats; 1795 – 1821
Except of course that Keats wasn't writing about the season of July, but rather the season of September! Tonight in Dublin Bay it might as well have been September as a cloak of mist enveloped the bay and the harbour, causing the dinghy racing to be abandoned.
For three of the Fireballs, it meant that their packed-up status, ready for the European Championships in Shetland, didn't lose them a race in the DBSC Series.
