The International Fireball Association of South Australia (IFASA) and the International Fireball Association of Australia (IFAA) put on a 'Pimp My Boat' day on 12th July 2014 at the Adelaide Sailing Club. This was a combined contribution to our Fireball Members at no cost to them.

The idea was for some of the current class 'experts' to use their experience and help our members improve their boat setups with new ropes, fittings and improved system layouts.

We had 7 boats attending, some needing more attention than others. Lots of control ropes were replaced and adjusted to operate correctly, some needed rerouting, various changes to systems for better control implemented. Halyards changed, spinnaker sheets renewed, main sheets changed. Rigging changed and adjusted.

The success of the day can be attributed to the dedicated Fireball Members, Jack Fletcher, Ben Schulz, John Heywood and Robin Inns.

The members who attended the day were very happy with the achievements that this dedicated group of Fireballers achieved on their boats in sharing their skills and knowledge and they now have a Fireball that won't fail them.

There was no sailing on the day just total attention to the boats; the day was a complete success, with all happy Fireballers.

Bring on the Season!

All Members appreciated the contribution that IFASA and IFAA had towards the improvements and reliability of their boats.
