Comet Open at Frensham Pond Sailing Club

An excellent day's sailing at Frensham with wall-to-wall sunshine and a very respectable 13 entrants. The wind was a variable 1 - 2, with large shifts and 'holes' appearing from nowhere, making for challenging light-airs racing.
The event was resurrected last year after over a decade without a Comet open and was again run jointly with a Solo open. There were four races, with one discard.

1st Izac Dodds (Crawley Mariners)
2nd Henry Jaggers (Beer)
3rd Ben Palmer (Baltic Wharf)
4th Bob Dodds (Crawley Mariners)
This was a superb achievement for Izac, who sailed with talent and maturity well beyond his years - to a first Comet open win, roundly beating his father and scoring 3rd, 2nd, 3rd and 1st
