This year marks the 80th year of the Victory Class and to celebrate, the Class will be holding a first-time event at Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week. On Wednesday 6th August the class will bring onboard the regatta's family of sponsors for the 'One Hour Victory' race with each partner providing two sailors to represent their company.

Each Victory racing in this special anniversary race will have a handpicked crew provided by title sponsor, Aberdeen Asset Management, Official Supporting Sponsors, Chatham Marine, Gill, BOSS Watches, local letterbox, Mount Gay Rum, Volvo Car UK, Official Suppliers, Solent Events, Britannia Corporate Events and Official Charity, UKSA.

The 'One Hour Victory' race will be held on Wednesday 6th August with the start gun being fired at 17.30. The one-design race is aimed at raising awareness of the growing fleet of Victory's who race out of Portsmouth and Gibraltar. The event will provide a shore-based viewing platform from the Green during Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week and offer spectators an onboard feeling of the nation's greatest sport.

The Victory Class is a one-design fleet which has raced at Cowes Week since 1934 and enjoys welcoming new sailors; providing competitive racing on the water throughout the year. The fleet boasts competitive up-to-date racing whilst keeping hold of its classic roots.

Crew lists are expected to include top-level sailors, providing an additional competitive edge to this 80 year-old one design class. May the best crew win!
