RS Tera Northern Travellers' Series – Final Event and Prizegiving!

by Jennie Clark 19 Jun 2014 20:21 BST 12 July 2014

The 2014 Traveller Series for the Northern RS Tera fleet draws to a close at South Windermere SC on Saturday 12 July. Three meetings have been held in the series so far, starting with the Northern Championships at Leigh and Lowton and following on with open meetings at Ripon SC and Derwent Reservoir SC.

Record turnouts have resulted in 58 young helms competing in the series so far, with 19 helms already qualified or able to qualify in the Sport series and 8 helms in the same position in the Pro fleet. Series leaders are Roscoe Martin (Sport) and Peter Owen (Pro) but with a discard to kick in after the 4th event things could change right through the fleet so it's all to play for.

The series has benefitted from the support of our coaching team, who have been out on the water, and on the shore supporting the fleet throughout the series. The Coach for this final event is Bernard Clark who will provide support throughout the fleet but primarily focussing on those who are new to racing and the series.

With sponsorship from Magic Marine the prize table for the series will be a good one, with every qualifier guaranteed to receive a prize to acknowledge their achievements.

More details on this final event on the South Windermere SC website or on the RS Tera North website www.rsteranorth.co.uk, and we hope to see a fantastic turnout for this very special end of series event.
