Waldringfield SC will be hosting their annual Cadet Open Meeting over the weekend of June 28-29 which this year is being kindly supported by Crewsaver, manufacturer of the new Phase 2 range, and Anglia Factors, our local supplier of high quality luxury fitted kitchens.

The Club is anticipating a bumper entry of boats as many teams are gearing up for some major international events this Summer. 2014 is a massive year for the UK Cadet Class, with the Nationals and World Championships being held at Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA) in August. Waldringfield Cadet Squadron anticipates sending 13 boats to Weymouth to compete.

"We're looking forward to some excellent racing at our Cadet Open in a few weeks' time," commented Waldringfield Cadet Squadron Leader, Neil Collingridge. "We've just had 23 Cadets participating in our half-term training camp and our local boats are hoping for plenty of visiting teams will join them on the race track. It promises to be a fantastic event - high tides, warm sunshine and good breezes are guaranteed! – Well, almost!"

"We are especially grateful to our sponsors, without whom the event could not take place. Anglia Factors have supported us for a number of years and they have been joined this year by Crewsaver. We thank them for their generous support".

Running alongside the Cadets will be a Laser Radial / Laser 4.7 Youth Open Meeting (Sunday June 29 Only) open to all sailors aged under 21.
