Last weekend the RS Feva class competed for its National Championships at Weymouth. While the most credit must go to the new National Champions, we should not forget the sailors throughout the fleet who performed at their best and were learning all the time.
To support these competitors, Fernhurst Books provided copies of Andy Rice's book Asymmetric Sailing as the Survivor Prize – for the boat with the highest number of points who completes all races. The winners were India Edwards & Fred Gray from Trearddur Bay SC who finished 90th out of a fleet of 99 entries.
In order to help before the event, the Feva class featured a chapter from Asymmetric Sailing on their website – appropriately, the chapter on Survival Sailing.
Fernhurst Books are also supporting other leading asymmetric classes. The RS200, (Laser) 2000, 29er and Musto Skiff all have copies of the book to present as Survivor Prizes at their National and Inland Championships this summer. With a copy of Asymmetric Sailing, those at the back of the fleet this year could be challenging the front runners in 2015!
If you are not lucky enough to be awarded one, you can always buy a copy from Fernhurst Books or from all good bookshops, book websites and chandleries.
Other types of boat are also well catered for by Fernhurst Books:
www.fernhurstbooks.com lists all the books available, including e-books. On the site you can also find
videos and
other resources to bring the books to life as well as being able to register to receive details of new titles and exclusive special offers throughout the year.
All the books can be bought from www.fernhurstbooks.com, and can be found in all good bookshops, book websites and chandleries.
