Henri Lloyd named as a key sponsor for Falmouth Classics sailing regatta

With less than one month to go to the event, Henri Lloyd has come aboard as a major sponsor for Falmouth Classics Regatta in 2014.

The sponsorship package is a milestone moment for the three-day sailing event running between 13-15 June. As well as being a headline sponsor to the Falmouth-based sailing event, Henri Lloyd will also be sponsoring prizes from their clothing range.

Support has been promised from a number of local organisations to help the event achieve its full potential. This ranges from a new website by Eight Wire digital marketing agency, to free berthing costs for visiting yachts by National Ventilation and Airtech Environmental. However, securing a widely-recognised brand like Henri Lloyd will enable the event to really gather momentum.

"The introduction of this prestigious international name to our list of current sponsors is a tremendous boost to the regatta" says Henry Roberts, chairman of the Falmouth Classics Association. "Together with sponsored berthing costs, Henri Lloyd has helped move the event up a gear to rival classic continental rallies and regattas. We want Classics to be the fun-filled, sailing event of the season."

Lisa Douglas, the marketing manager at Henri Lloyd, said: "We are excited to be involved in the 2014 Falmouth Classics and proud to be part of one of the highlights of the sailing calendar in Falmouth."

With the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival running alongside the event, visiting sailors can expect superb sailing waters, great hospitality and the prospect of an enjoyable weekend both on land and at sea.
